Welcome Note

Narelle Hooper - Editor, Financial Review BOSS Magazine
Welcome to the Financial Review BOSS Emerging Leaders Program. They say you get
the best when you combine the energy of youth and the wisdom of experience. In the
eight years BOSS has run the Young Executives of the Year awards, we've discovered
how true that is. We've been struck by the energy and vigour in the room at BOSS
forums when we bring together aspiring future leaders and those at the top today
so they can share their knowledge.

The Emerging Leaders program provides a structured schedule of regular events,
providing members with the opportunity to determine the topics you want to talk about
and a platform through which to have their say on management issues and themes faced
in career development.

At our next forum on Wednesday November 7 at the Establishment Hotel in Sydney,
Cliff Rosenberg, LinkedIn Australia Managing Director discusses the importance of
managing your professional brand.

The world today is far more connected and fast changing than ever. Leadership and innovation can come from anyone, anywhere but it's up to the people who lead people in the work place to create the environment where this can happen. Today and in the future we will need a new mindset of leadership which recognises that the potential of people at work is greater than ever, if they are inspired, supported and aligned with a strong common purpose. The emerging leaders program will help to encourage and develop the leaders of the future.
